Police confiscate liquor
DE AAR – The police in De Aar confiscated alcohol to the value of R5 000 that was being transported illegally.
It is alleged that on 25 April 2020, Captain Ngubo, Warrant Officer Swanepoel, Sergeant Nana and Sergeant Tom stopped and searched a vehicle. They discovered various liquor in the boot of the car. The liquor estimated to the value of R5000 was confiscated and the 33-year-old man was arrested for contravention of the Disaster Management Regulation, failure to confine oneself at their place of residence and transportation of liquor. The suspect is expected appear before De Aar Magistrates’ soon.
The Cluster Commander, Brigadier Nomana Adonis applauded the members for their vigilance and efforts in ensuring that those who break the law are arrested.
