Arrested on suspicion of selling illegal cigarettes

KURUMAN – On Sunday, 3 May 2020 members of Kuruman High way patrol arrested a 29 year old man for illegally selling cigarettes in Kuruman at approximately 15:50.

The man was arrested after a clandestine  operation was conducted.

Cigarettes to the value of R16 000 – 00 was confiscated.

The suspect will appear before the Kuruman Magistrate court on charge of selling non essential goods during the lockdown period soon. The Cluster Commander of JTG,  Major General Johan Bean applauded JTG Crime Intelligence and Kuruman Highway patrol members for their contribution towards enforcing the Lockdown Regulations.
