Female suspect arrested for allegedly selling non-essential goods

On Thursday, 7 May 2020 at about 17:40 an intelligent driven operation conducted by JTG Crime intelligence and  Mothibistad SAPS members led them to the confiscation of liquor, cigarettes and home brewed beer at Dikgweng village outside of Kuruman.

A 25 year old woman was arrested for dealing in these non essential goods during the lockdown period. The total value of the non essential goods amounted to R9 495-00. The suspect has been warned to appear before the Mothibistad magistrate court on 12 May 2020 on charge of Contravention of the Disaster Management Act Regulations .
