Two arrested for selling liquor
Members of Upington Crime Prevention received information about people selling liquor in Progress location on Wednesday 12 May. They followed up and the investigation led to entering and searching of the premises.
Upon searching, they discovered liquor to the value of R48 164. The liquor was seized and two males were arrested for the contravention of the Disaster Management Act.
The Station Commander of Upington SAPS, brigadier Sampie Koopman, applauded the members for actively enforcing the regulations during the lockdown period and ensuring that people adhere at all times.
