President leads NEDLAC meeting to discuss level 3 of lockdown
Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa leads a NEDLAC meeting today to discuss the implementation of level 3 of lockdown in certain provinces, according to a government statement.
As promised by the President, this meeting is merely the beginning of a wide range of consultations between government and various sectors of society on the impact of the pandemic on the South African economy, and specifically on the possible implementation of level 3 of lockdown.
This level inter alia entails the further reopening of the economy, as well as the lifting of the ban on freedom of movement.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, Pres Ramaphosa has collaborated with various sectors on how to manage this disaster.
