Police confiscates suspected stolen solar panels

GALESHEWE – In the efforts to fight crime, the police in Kagisho confiscated solar panels worth R16 000 and arrested one suspect.

Brig Mohale Ramatseba, police spokesperson, says on 15 May warrant officer Serame Noko was conducting normal patrols when he stopped and searched a vehicle at Mathanzima in Kagisho. He found solar panels, barb wire and tools in the boot of the car. The driver could not give a reasonable explanation of why he was in possession of the goods.

The suspect (37) was arrested for possession of suspected stolen property and he is expected to appear before Galeshewe magistrate’s court soon, says brig Ramatseba.

The Northen Cape police management commended the member for his vigilance and efforts in ensuring that those who break the law are brought to book.
