According to an announcement by Guy Barnett, Minister for Primary Industries and Water in Tasmania, deer hunting season opened on 27 February 2021 which provides many Tasmanian hunters and shooters ‘the opportunity to pursue an important tradition and way of life.’
The 2021 deer game season exists in two parts, an adult male component and an antlerless component. Buck season opened on 27 February and continues until 4 April, while the antlerless deer season opens on 15 March to 15 November 2021.
