Tripadvisor acknowledged that they are building a new subscription program called Tripadvisor Plus, with wholesale rates from ‘aggregators’ covering 100 000 hotels. Most of these discounts come from an unconventional source, namely travel agencies within private equity firm Certares’ portfolio.
