Meghan Markle reveals in what has been described as a “bombshell interview” that individuals within the monarchy had concerns about the colour of her unborn son’s skin, that she wanted to commit suicide and that Kate Middleton made her cry.

Meghan and prince Harry’s interview with Oprah aired on CBS on Sunday evening and will be aired tonight at 19:30 on MNet in South Africa.

Harry and Meghan married three days in advance
Meghan made revelations about the monarchy and revealed private and intimate details, including that they were married three days before in their garden.
Meghan says her life as a royal was riddled with insecurities and she felt unsafe due to the British media’s relentless reporting on the couple.
Meghan wanted to commit suicide
She says she was not “allowed” to give interviews and had to give up her voice. She did not have access to her passport, driver’s license or keys when she was part of the royal family. At one stage during her pregnancy she wanted to commit suicide and could not be left alone.
Prince Charles stopped speaking to Harry
Harry stated that his father, prince Charles, stopped speaking to him during his and Meghan’s time in Canada while they were exiting the royal family. Being reportedly very close to his older brother, prince William and an avid member of the Royal Airforce, he gave it all up when he moved to the US.
Harry “didn’t know” he was trapped
When he met Meghan, Harry says, he realized how trapped he felt working as a member of the royal family.
He says he wouldn’t have broken away had it not been for Meghan, because he was trapped as well. “I didn’t see a way out. You know, I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped.”
Meghan further revealed a member of the royal family had concerns over how dark her baby would be, when she was pregnant with son Archie.
