Vaccine safety experts from the World Health Organization are meeting on Tuesday to review the AstraZeneca vaccine after several European countries halted their rollouts.
AstraZeneca vaccine and bloodclots
The countries halted their rollouts after there were a number of cases in Europe where blood clots were reported after the vaccine was administered, although the numbers are lower than you would expect in the general population.
About 1.7 million people in the EU and the UK received a dose of this vaccine, with less than 40 cases of blood clots being reported as of last week, AstraZeneca told the BBC.
