Eskom group executive officer, Andre de Ruyter, told BusinessTech that the power utility is “not where it wants to be” in terms of performance and power reliability will remain sketchy until after winter.
After the country’s winter months
De Ruyter said that while the company is making notable progress in their recovery of their operational performance, they are not where they would like to be in terms of performance. According to Eskom chief operating officer, Jan Oberholzer, South Africa will likely only see an increase in power reliability in September, which is after the country’s winter months.
