GEORGIA.- Eight people, including at least six Asian women, were killed in shootings at three different spa’s in the US state of Georgia.
Attacks
Officials said that a 21-year old man has been arrested and is believed to be the suspect in all three of the attacks.
No motive for the Tuesday’s shootings has been established, however hate crimes against Asians have spiked over recent months due to many people blaming them for the spread of Covid-19.
During an address last week, President Joe Biden condemned “vicious hate crimes against Asian-Americans who have been attacked, harassed, blamed and scapegoated.”
