Nokia to cut up to 10 000 jobs
Telecoms giant Nokia is said to be preparing to lay-off between 5000 and 10 000 jobs worldwide in the next two years, in an effort to cut costs.

Telecoms giant Nokia is said to be preparing to lay-off between 5000 and 10 000 jobs worldwide in the next two years, in an effort to cut costs.
Cost cuts
It’s unclear where the bulk of the cuts will fall, but it is said that about 96 jobs in the UK were under threat as part of the £518m cost cuts. Nokia is playing catch-up on 5G and also plans to invest in cloud computing and digital infrastructure research.
The company currently employs 90 000 employees around the world and has cut thousands of jobs since 2015.
