AUSTRALIA.- Many Australians have derided a suggestion that was made by the New South Wales police commissioner that an app could be used to register sexual consent.
Proposal
On Thursday, Mick Fuller, made the proposal of the an app where people could digitally record their mutual agreement to have sexual intercourse, saying the technology could be used to establish “positive consent”.
Many people criticized the idea as short-sighted and potentially open to abuse with concerns being raised about the app being used for state surveillance.
