Dozens of people are dead following an assault on the town of Palma in northern Mozambique.
Islamist militants
Seven people were killed trying to escape a siege on a hotel, while hundreds of others were reportedly rescued.
The area as been under attack by Islamist militants since Wednesday with witnesses describing hiding and waiting to be rescued by boat, on a beach strewn with headless bodies.
This insurgency has been taking place since 2017.
