Bonginkosi Madikizela, the Western Cape’s provincial Minister of Transport and Public works, said that the province is considering stricter traffic rules.

Amendments

The amendments being considered are aimed at empowering traffic officers and other authorized law enforcement officials to impound vehicles for infringements like drag racing on public roads.

The aim of this legislation is to improve road safety across the province by holding drivers accountable for their actions.
