Rugged actor Gerard Butler may once again promote Windhoek’s “real beer” in a television ad featuring a small slice of lime, because it is not sexist at all.

January

After the ad was banned in January for apparently perpetuating a forbidden gender stereotype that only men drink beer, it has now been cleared and can run on televisions once again.

However Windhoek’s makers, Heineken, and beer companies in general got a stern warning in the appeal decision because of the all-male cast used in the advert.

They were told that female beer drinkers must be included in the design of marketing materials, even if they are in a minority.
