The European Medicines Agency (EMA) said that blood-clotting should be listed as a “very rare” side-effect of taking the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.

The EU regulator said that the benefits of getting the vaccine continued to outweigh the risks.
The Amsterdam-based body’s safety committee made a statement that “unusual blood clots with low blood platelets” should be listed as a very rare side-effect, adding that the “overall benefit-risk remains positive.”
