Prince Philip dies
LONDON. – Prince Phillip (99), husband of British Queen Elizabeth II and Duke of Edinburgh, has died. The Royal Family has just announced this on their Facebook page.
The prince died peacefully at Windsor Castle this morning.
Prince Phillip has been struggling with a heart condition since February of this year and has undergone a successful operation. He was only discharged from the hospital after a month. The Royal Family has not yet confirmed whether this is the cause of his death.
Philip supported the Queen for 65 years, stepping down from his public role in 2017 and having remained largely out of sight ever since.
“The royal family mourns its loss with people around the world.”
