According to the Indonesian military, the Indonesian naval submarine that went missing last week has been found shattered into at least three pieces deep in the ocean.

KRI Nanggala

The Indonesian navy, with the support of international assets, has been searching tirelessly for the KRI Nanggala 402 and its crew since it disappeared during a training exercise on Wednesday.

Search teams found an oil slick early on in the search and in recent days they found items that appear to have found from inside the submarine, like prayer rugs, a grease bottle, part of a coolant pipe and a torpedo component.

With the evidence found the submarine has been declared sunk and all passengers are presumed dead.
