How diet drinks could be affecting your fertility
Would you rather drink fizzy drinks or diet cola than water?
Would you rather drink fizzy drinks or diet cola than water? Do you prefer sugar in your brew for a sweetener? If you do, your “diet” beverage could be messing with your pregnancy plans.
Artificial sweeteners
You may not have known but almost all sodas and sugary drinks are made of artificial sweeteners, which are chemical-based. This is one of the things you need to consider when you are trying to increase your chances of conceiving.
Couples planning a pregnancy should consider limiting their consumption of these sugary drinks, especially since they are related to other diverse health effects. Research found that women who are undergoing fertility treatment and frequently consumed these artificial sweeteners had a significantly lower chance of conceiving a child.
So to conceive, maybe consider cutting back on sodas.
