Highly contagious avian flu
The portfolio committee on agriculture, land reform and rural development released a report on the performance plan submitted by the Department of Agriculture, land reform and rural development, raising concerns about the “miniscule” sum allocated to, amongst other things, helping SA combat the highly contagious avian flu and foot and mouth disease (FMD).
